Are you someone who likes to edit photos on the go and needs a laptop where ever you might be no matter how remote you are? Than this Trekker 40 is the kit for those who might want to keep it light weight enough that it doesn’t matter if they have to pack up and move to another spot but packed full of power to keep your laptop going all day/ days long. The Trekker 40 comes with a super efficient 40watt folding solar panel outputting 19v out of DC port and also incorporates a high output USB port to charge phones and tablets straight from the solar panel. Combine that with a Vinsic 30,000mah laptop power bank you can have endless laptop charging ability. It is ideal for those smaller laptops like macbook air’s and lenovo’s keeping it as compact as possible so you have the ability to still move around, it also comes with 2x regular UBS outputs at 5v 3A max which mean you can charge all your devices one at a time or all together.
Direction of use
It is dead simple to use these folding solar panels they require very little set up and knowhow, all you have to do to start harnessing from the sun is unfold the solar panel and face it towards the sun (repositioning every now and then to maximise input). After that plug in your Vinsic 30,000mAh power bank with the DC cord provided into 19v DC output on the 40watt folding solar panel, the power bank should start to charge straight away providing that you have sufficient sunlight. The 40watt folding solar panel comes with a stash pocket so you can hide away your power bank and valuables while charging so you wont have to worry about them getting damaged in the sun. You can not only charge up your power bank through the DC port but you can plug any other usb powered device plug straight into the USB output on the solar panel as well, this can be handy if you have got a great day of sun and your power bank is already charged you can charge your other devices straight off the solar panel so you can save the power bank for when the sun goes down.
How we use it
Even though the 40watt folding solar panel is one of our biggest panels it is still super portable but with this solar panel it might be just a bit to big (long) to carry off the back of your pack all day. What we suggest is use this when you are out and about on photo shoots, hikes, camp spots or just in a remote place where you will be in the one spot for a while. This way the power bank is going to get max time to charge up leaving you with freedom to move around not worrying if your power bank i charging.
